To All,

I may not be as active on the forum as I would like for the next few days, as I will be preparing to attend the Civil War Reenactment at Hale Farm, Ohio, this weekend, with my Grandson, Corey.

I have just turned over to him all my Union army clothing and gear so he will continue the Hamilton tradition of civil war reenacting even unto the next generation.

We both need to find new period headgear, brogans for him, and shirts and a pair of black wool pants for Grandpa.

Until that time,
Unionblue

How nice for both of you. The time together will not be wasted.

I have a grandson-in-law. Does that count?

Wow, that is wonderful that your grandson will be carrying on your family's tradition of civil war reenacting! You must be so excited! I may attend the Civil War Reenactment. Hale Farm is an excellent venue, with all of the period buildings, and well maintained grounds. I'll look you up if I come. I know you and your grandson will have a great time.

Anyone else from Ohio planning on attending?

I'll be there. Glad to hear your Grandson is carrying on the tradition, UB. Maybe we'll see you there!

He's fortunate to have you and you are fortunate to have him, my love and interest in the Civil War was passed down to me by my Grandfather.

With the price of reenactment gear I would have never been able to afford to join the hobby If he didn't hand me down the gear. So I'm very grateful to not only be able to participate but to also look like a veteran my first day, even though I know squat.
