Double Ender Paint Scheme

Jason is working on a double ender that could be the Otsego, Sassucus, Miami, or Iosco depending on 2 hat story we are telling. What would be some proper colors. This one of his big 1/72 scale boats ( 30 inches long ).

In photos, they generally appear light-colored, although I doubt they were white. The standard "battleship gray" had not yet been adopted. Most likely a light lead color, I'd tend to think.
