"Three Medals of Honor Battle of New Market Heights" 6th USCT at New Market Heights on Sept. 29, 1864.
"Emmitsburg Road" Maj. Gen. Isaac R. Trimble leads his men in the attack on Cemetery Ridge on July 3.
Stonewall Jackson at Cedar Mountain, August 9, 1862 rallying his men with his sword, rusted in the scabbard. He shouted "Jackson is with you, rally brave men, and press forward!"
"DeGress' Battery " At the Battle of Atlanta on July 22, 1864, the 66th Illinois Infantry Regiment, armed with Henry repeaters, retakes the 1st Illinois Light Artillery. The Battery was commanded by Captain Francis DeGress and was made up of four 20-pounder Parrot rifles. It was overrun by Brig. Gen. Arthur M. Manigault's Brigade.
