One of my first posts on CWT was about the Muster Tree. As you can see we love it around here. Our part of the Midwest is experiencing the oak diseases described above. The Spring Grove Cemetery where our Civil War monument is located is full of oak trees. It's a very sad situation.

That intersection looks bare with out the tree
 
There is going to be a fundraiser for the Muster Tree carving Friday June 14th 2024. It will be in Phoenix Park and will feature The 1st Brigade Band. Everyone is welcome. No fee to attend. Come in Civil War attire if you have it! Event starts at 6pm. Band starts at 7pm.
