Hello,
Where can I find information specifically on Dave Pool? I have been trying to track my Pool roots and I have reason to believe that my family is somehow related to Dave Pool of the Quantrell raiders. Do we know for sure where David Pool was born? Parents names? Are there any good specific sources of information on David Pool. Any point of reference would be appreciated.

FYI: I have found information that David Pool was actually a Francis Marion Pool from MO...butI have alsofound scattered and changed information...as well as conflicting information. I noticed that James Monroe Poole listed on MO Census in 1850 said his profession was a "Goldhunter" ...Not likely in Missouri that he was looking for gold. In my tracking of Pools I find changed names, changed years of birth, changes in the states that they say they were born, etc. So, I have come to believe that the Pool family...was perhaps part of a secretive organization (Knights of the Golden Circle) where members were known to do things to continually hide their identities.

Here is a picture of David Pool.....
