great question
well, movies, popular books, the fact that so many CW soldiers were europeans ...

the reenacting community start in the 1960s in europe with westerners at first , uk excepted , with a great influence of many american soldiers in duty in germany , with western comes the soldier blue and grey and the CW ...

We've had quite a few members from France. All quite delightful, unlike some I could name from the States.

we reenact mostly on two private fields , one in normandy, one in the north of paris and evereywhere we can when we have some invitation
exept one time a year, our events are private

If I ever go to France, I am so looking you guys up! I would love to join in with your unit for a weekend. You look better and more authentic than a large number of units here in the states. Indeed, you would be more than welcome to fall in with us if you ever find yourself in the USA.
