Would appreciate input from the long time collectors here on these binos. Claim is that they are "signal corp." CW Era binos.

Not Civil War as company was known as Bardou & Fil from 1855 to 1884. First used the name Bardou & Sons at the 1876 Centennial, and then from the 1880's into the 20th century. Made telescopes, binoculars, and microscopes which were imported into the U.S. by many companies.
Thanks. So question becomes, what markings or features confirm CW era made, or prior to CW?

I'm not an expert on binoculars, just did a search on the company. I have read that one feature of Civil War binoculars is a straight bridge, and not a curved one like this appears to have. Don't know how long they were made with straight bridges. I'd recommend that if you do encounter one with straight bridge, do a search on the maker to see when in business and also search "civil war binoculars" to see if any show up by same maker in a reputable venue.
