Yes, I saw a number of my original images posted there, without attribution, before the group went private. Not good form.

Some of mine turned up too, but at least the poster acknowledged this forum as the source.

I always wondered. If you go to google and pull up images of "CSS Bombshell model" 3 of the first 5 pics are of Jason's boat. Picture 6 and 7 are the drawings that Andy supplied on CWT and after that is a picture of Jason's first boat the CSS Halifax.

Google does a good job of indexing CivilWarTalk material. Sometimes posts here show up on Google within half an hour or less.

Strick! Jason uses the net a lot.

Got the same jokes when I first asked for pictures and sketches of the Bombshell. I learned to put CSS in front of it.

Many years ago when my nephew was still in Cub Scouts, he was fascinated with current US Mil Weapons Systems. We were looking up stuff on the web and I was explaining what it was and my experience with them. He typed in 'hummer' and hit 'search' before I realized what he did. Took me an hour of back-peddling and and "Look! Squirrel!" type comments to recover. My brother still looks at me with this very jaundiced eye...
