CS Tin Drum Canteen Need Help!

Im sorry, Im sure the answers Im looking for are already on this site. But I cant find them.

I need a plain Confederate Tin Drum canteen without a beeswax lining and flat sides between 30-70$

Jarnigan is the only sutler I can find that meets this description, but their canteen looks like its edges are kind of rounded. Would it be easy to remove the besswax lining if I bought one of those that had it?

All the other good ones are beeswaxed or hot dipped.....

Any of the following should work out for you. Hot Dip Tin would be my first stop if looking for a tin canteen that does not have a beeswax lining. They make all their own wares and could probably do you a "custom" sans the wax. I have a tin drum from Wambaugh, White and Co. that I have used for 5 or 6 years that I'm very happy with. W&W's, or at least mine, are beeswax lined, which IMHO, does not negatively effect the taste of the water much.

Alex Ulrich also makes a good tin drum canteen. It is also not difficult to remove beeswax from the inside of any canteen. The tin drums are not expensive canteens to manufacture either so there is no need to spend a fortune on one.

Hot dipped tin is a method of tinning the metal that is accurate to the time period.
