Impressions Continued Work on Impression, Advice Needed

Wide feet, eh? I, too, am a great dog paddler.

Seriously, though, do not cheap out on shoes. Once your feet begin to hurt (or get cold), it's all over. The fun is gone. So don't cheap out on shoes. Trust me. After 30 years in the Army, much of it on my feet, I know what I'm talking about. Do not cheap out on shoes. If you're serious about this hobby, pay to have a pair made. Don't let someone tell you that you can get width by buying length. That is pure, unadulterated BS. (Can you say blisters?) Do not cheap out on shoes. There are several dealers who will make shoes to fit you. I got mine from Missouri Boot and Shoe. In terms of price, they were comparable to other quality dealers. And it's true. You really do get what you pay for. So, I guess what I'm really trying to say is this: don't cheap out on shoes.

I 'spect that there are others on here who will also recommend that you not cheap out on shoes.

I have 8 1/2 size feet. I have never had half size shoes. Either 8s or 9s. 9s with thick socks are fine. For the money, Fall Creek makes a good shoe.

Yeah I tried 9s at the ball from one of the sutlers... definitely don't fit, and I have to be careful with the feet so not sure if going to 8s is an option. Only thing to do would be to try them on so I think buying at a sutlers is how I'll go about it.
