I was wondering what others though of this book, Confederate Army Uniforms at Gettysburg by Michael J. Winey.

I am assuming that Winey must have made some mistakes. Winey also wrote Union Army Uniforms at Gettysburg.

Well Winey does get to sell two different books. I am sure there are Confederate reenactors who only want information about what uniforms the Confederate forces actually wore at Gettysburg and the same can be said for Union reenactors. Truth be told the 76 pages of the book about Union uniforms could be added to the 124 pages of the book about Confederate uniforms worn at Gettysburg. The longer combined book would cost more than either book, but less than the two book purchased separately.
