Confederate shotgun

Congrats scooter748 driver.
It is a wonderful example of a Confederate used gun.
I've seen this shotgun and all concerned know it's "as right as rain". :dance:

Oh absolutely! The $100 book let me save well over $1000 on this shotgun. Your advice repeated throughout this forum to "buy the book first" is directly responsible for this purchase. Had I not bought the book I would not have recognized this rare shotgun. Thank you!

Well then, as you established who had it between Ainsworth's hands and yours maybe the Ainsworth estate/widow would still have the notes he kept to write his book. Couldn't hurt to ask, ya know?
Ashworth. John Ashworth was an old school gentleman, always polite and patient when I was younger and asking lots of questions. If I recall, he also had a large collection of Confederate saddles.
