Confederate Morse Carbine

With 2 recently published books on George Morse and his different types of guns, it seems everyone wants a Morse carbine, or a musket or an inside lock Morse, until they get to the price...
A great condition, unfired, un-messed with, cartridge will set you back $1000 plus.... A super nice 1st model carbine is in the high 20K or even more depending on condition and provenance.

Well, I guess that makes the reproduction version look much more attractive! Actually, sometimes there is a place for a reproduction arm in a collection when you really want to have an example to fill that otherwise unfillable spot.

An interesting Carbine. I wonder how well it functioned. The cartridge is also unique.
