Uniforms are generally not my thing ---- but I'd like to know what anyone can tell me about the coat and cap of my avatar

, Quartermaster Captain Thomas Sharp.

Typical Confederate officers double breasted frock coat (he is wearing it unbuttoned) Early-Mid war era Confederate officers provided (acquired) their own uniforms, hence wide range of variance from regulations is found existent... dependent on materials available... skill of the tailor... and many times personal whim of the officer in question. Cap is standard style Kepi. Not enough visible to give further on.
