Hi Group,

I am trying to locate some photos of units my relatives served with in the Civil War. I had families on both sides as alot of folks did. I joined my local SCV under my gr gr grandfathers brother Sargent Francis Marion Calhoun. He served with the 62nd Virginia Mounted Infantry Company "C". He also had another brother John W.O. Calhoun served with the 25th Virginia Infantry Company "E". My gr gr gr grandfathers half brother 1st Lt John C Calhoun he too served with the 62nd Virginia in Company "I". He was killed by a shell fragment retreating from Gettysburg in Williamsport Maryland. I had another gr gr grandfather Solomon H Lough serve with the 46th Militia Company "B" and I still have his discharge papers from 1864. I yet had anotehr gr gr grandfather Thomas France served with the Union in the Baltimore Light Artillery. Sorry to ramble on, but I am trying to locate any photos of these units my relatives served with. I was just wondering if someone out there knows where I can go to look for photos. Thanks for reading.....Tom

All I've been able to find after several years is a couple of reunion photos with all white beards after 1900. Matthew Brady, of course, was rambling around with his camera in northern Virginia and there are a few pictures (several, actually) of folks around Nashville that are pretty easy to find, but photos with names like a modern football team? Far as I know it didn't happen. I have photos of companies in which my Dad and Father-in-law served in World War II, but that's about it. Good luck with your search. Never say never.
