Colonel Dearborn from Virginia?

I was looking for something completely unrelated when I happened upon this record for a USCT born in Haywood county, TN. He had a brief and not distinguished career, enlisting in March and deserting in May of 1864. What interests me, though, is that at enlistment he apparently said his most recent owner was a Colonel Dearborn of Louisa county, Virginia. As near as I'm able to make out, there were no Dearborns in Louisa county in the 1860 census. Nor does there seem to be any Colonel named Dearborn in the Civil War. There was a Revolutionary War Colonel Henry Dearborn, but both he and his son were dead before the war.

Anyone able to tell me who this guy was talking about?
