Civil War Reference Book Which Is Badly Needed

Lately there have been numerous threads requesting help in dating and identifying photographs. Unfortunately such a book doesn't exist for Civil War enthusiasts, collectors and researchers. However, someone took the time to do it for British Military enthusiasts, collectors and researchers.

A reference like this is certainly needed. Recently a local genealogy Facebook page posted a picture of National Guard troops from the 1890s in eastern Ohio and was misidentified as Civil War Union soldiers in 1862. It would be good to have the basic information in one book to share with others.
