I am thinking this is a Civil War mortar?

I don't know what the big gun in the foreground really is, except to say it would throw a shell a long way. I would say the mortar is from the Civil War.

Well if you want to shell Canada you need something to fire a ways. Canada is across the river. Canada from the area of the mortar. I think large cannon here could hit any ships in the river.

The motor does look like a concrete cast version. The APC is of the M114 flavor which was the predecessor of the M113 and the tank is rolling coffin Sherman. Great photos thanks for sharing.

Was the nickname for the Sherman called a "Zippo" because the light every time?

And I spent a lot of time on and in a modified M113.

U.S. M1841 Siege Mortar. It looks very similar to yout photo. This is a Coehorn style mortar, being that the trunions are at the very back end. Probably has an 8" or 10" bore.
The 8-inch and 10-inch siege mortars had maximum ranges of 2,225 and 2,064 yards.
