My wife and I are going to Gettysburg at the end of the month. I'm looking for some places to eat. Not the most expensive but not bar food either. She doesn't do fine dining and she's convinced that bar food is a good excuse for microbrew.

She's not wrong either.

Gettysburg Eddies and Fourscore Brewery. Good eats at both. Fourscore has some good beer also. Have a good trip.

Great place and sad. If you like baseball, Gettysburg Eddies is interesting.
It is a sad place. Last time i was there, i guess 30 years ago there was a horse by Mead's headquarters. Very nice horse too. Seemed to be a very serine in a place that saw so much violence.
My wife is sick for ghost hunts, so that's going to happen. I'm rather loath to walk around at night in the cold. I think we'll check out those two eateries you mentioned. Suds keep me warm, ish.

Gettysburger for their signature burger!

Never been there but Garryowen Irish Pub is supposed to be the place, per The Civil War Monitor back in Spring.

Have fun on your trip! I'll be at home jealous!

The Dobbin House. www.dobbinhouse.com
We always eat at The Spring House Tavern. Good food. We will be in Gettysburg Oct. 26 -28th too.
Lincoln Diner for breakfast and lunch.
Just to clarify, the Spring House Tavern is for lunch. Since you said you don't want expensive or fine dining, you certainly don't want to go to the Dobbin House for dinner.

I have eaten many "dinners" at The Spring House . 1/2 roasted chicken ,salad and baked potato is pretty good dinner ! Been going there for 20+ years and that is usually what I order.

Mostly Bistro food in Gettysburg. If you have time and want a nice dining experience try The Carriage House Inn in Emmitsburg Md. I found it five years ago and go back often when I come to Gettysburg. Broad dinner menu. Nice service. Good wine list
