Here in Dallas, Tx we are enjoying lows in the upper 30's, highs in the 70's. Hopefully it will last a while.

If was quite a splendid afternoon for a long walk. Clear and bright out, 28 F with 20 mph NW wind. This is some of my favorite weather quite invigorating.

Was hot here yesterday high 70+. Today rain last night changing over to snow and very windy. Temperature right now @ 1948 hours temp 29 degrees , winds @ 15 mph from the NW wind chill 17 dregrees.. Wish that I was back at Gettysburg.

A cold and lonely view...this morning the lens on the camera was snowy. I think they were supposed to get around 4 inches last night...we should be so lucky. We get feet!!!!

Parts of our state had temperatures of 47 Celsius (116 Fahrenheit). This is in cities and towns where people work and go to school. Not the outback.

Melbourne is good (only a few days over 100 in the last week) but Sydney is breaking all sorts of heat records.

I was planning to go out on the 18th or 19th--maybe I'll run into you! Considering how empty it is this time of the year, we might be the only 5 people on the battlefield.

crazy weather this week. was in the 70s Tuesday and Wednesday, had a 40 degree drop on Thursday with horrible wind, will be mid 60s tomorrow and almost 80 on sunday.

Ah yes....Melbourne is down south down under. 116 F is hot no matter how you look at it. 2 summers ago here in Missoula around the 4th of July for about a 1 and a 1/2 week span it was anywhere between 109 and 115 F everyday. I went up to Glacier NP on the Canadian border and camped in a snow cave for a week. Luckily there was still 8 to 10 feet of snow pack still in the higher parts of the mountains..

2 hrs shoveling yesterday. 8 inches here. Not. Fun. But I sure cannot complain about the weather this Winter. On the other hand, pitchers and catchers reporting next week, so that's that for Old Man Winter

This weekend we are due to get a weather system coming from the Urals, across the Baltic and North Sea and straight at my house.
