If you have a series of pictures of Chickamauga, I'd love to see them. Need some new computer backgrounds . Heck, I'd probably buy a calendar of just Shiloh and Chickamauga pictures from your collection.

The website Blurb allows you to publish books and calendars and also posts them so others can purchase them. I think its quite expensive for a book or calendar though.

It's a big place, hope you have more then one day.you have Chattanooga also.you can spend half a day at the Fuller gun collection in the visitor center alone.

This pic was taken with a Nikon D300. I also have a D800 and usually carry both; one with the wide angle and the other with a zoom.

Can you recommend a good Canon camera for a beginner cutting his teeth? Not for me. It's for a friend.

I not too familiar with Cannon's line up but I don't think you can go wrong. They have good DSLR's for every ones level. Houston Camera right off of Richmond and Fountain View is a good place to look. You can get good deals on used equipment there.

I've read and heard that Canons are a little easier for newbies to learn and operate.
