One color and one B/W of the National Cemetery in Chattanooga. On the B/W one, you can see the NY Peace monument in Lookout Park and the NY and Ohio monuments at the Cravens House. The color pic, Desmond Doss's grave would be just over the hill if you walked straight to the trees.

Very nice. It was late morning when I made it there and not a breath of wind blowing. Beautiful National Cemetery. Only one on a hill that I have been to.

That is a very good view, really beautiful in fact. I can't think of a better place for soldiers to rest. It looks peaceful. Thank you.

There is a really cool monument at the Chattanooga National Cemetery and it is the one for "Andrews Raiders" of the Great Locomotive Chase Fame.

Neither did I. But I will.

When they were carrying Doss back on stretcher, he hopped off and had them take other men he said were more seriously wounded. He was also hit a few times while this happened. They left that out of the movie, lest the audience think it was too outrageous and untrue. Hell of a man.
