Hello,

This is the blood stained flag of the 26th North Carolina Troops who lost 14 color bearers on July 1, 1863 at Willoughby Run west of Gettysburg going up against the Iron Brigade. Includied in this count was their boy colonel, Henry Burgwyn.

Yes I believe the 26th Flag would have been in this quote, my guess , their flag would have been against the stone wall , with one flag on their right

On a related note, I've never understood how the 8th Ohio ended up with one of Picketts flags.
