Guy In Front: "It appears our calvary reconnaissance got some wrong information. We were supposed to flank the enemy. It doesn't look like we are in the right spot, let me check my map."

Guy In Back: "General, it looks like we are between the two armies. They now seem to be pointing their guns at us. I don't wanting to be insubordinate but, Get us out of here!"

"And then Abe wrote saying, 'I have just read your dispatch about sore-tongued and fatigued horses, Will you pardon me for asking what the horses of your army have done since the Battle of Antietam that fatigues anything?'

To which I replied, 'We've had several runnings of the Potomac Preakness since Antietam and we need to rest the horses before the first annual Shenandoah Derby.'"
