Maryland...'bout 55 miles south of Gettysburg.
Capt. David A, Lyon (or Lyan) was in the 29th C.V. which was an early USCT regiment and
he was wounded and captured and paroled at the 2nd Battle of Winchester in 1863, and
this was in the Gettysburg campaign. The photographer was shown on the back of
the card as Bendann Bros. of Baltimore, Md. and they were a very pro-Southern group.

Also he had earlier been in the 18th Ct. regiment.
