Cannonball - Another Dusty Treasure.... :-)

Hello Folks -

Still thrashing through the crates and boxes of my 60+ year collection, much to the thrill of the 'Other' occupant of this joint!

Here is what I believe is a cannonball. Thinking maybe CW or possibly earlier, or even nothing at all but a big round chunk of iron.

She (!) weighs in at just over 9lbs., and is ~4 inches in diameter. Quite the hole where the sprue was.

Any thoughts? More to come as I keep digging (not in the ground, that's been frozen since November).

YIKES!! Didn't know the pics would be so large! Apologies...

PS - Here's a pic of my Blomfield Pattern 3-PDR. British or American copy, and one of the carriage before I finished it. Fitted for a flintlock firing device. I have one, but haven't gotten it mounted.
