Custer's action East of Gettysburg might have saved the Union. If Stuart got in the Union rear who knows the outcome. Custer was outnumbered like 3 to 1 against the best light Cavalry in the World and he still prevailed. Sadly he is only remembered for his Little Big Horn disaster.

I was not sure what it was. After an hour in a quilt shop with my wife I decided that driving two blocks to the courthouse to look over a couple of cannon sounded like more fun than an additional hour at the quilt shop. I knew what this cannon was, but if anyone wants to tell other forum members what is is they can.

I can certainly identify with you as a long suffering quilting spouse, but sometimes it works out as there use to be a quilt store right in the middle of the Franklin Battlefield and as she browsed, I would sit on the porch, rock in a rocking chair and just enjoy the history around me.
