Not that I would be any help but in general showing a dimension would be good. Will be following this to see what you find out - fascinating!! I'm sure someone will know.

Ok I will get some measurements tomorrow after work. But playing a guessing game I would say it's about 8-9 inches long and probably 1.50 inches wide at the base or widest point. Thanks

Could Be Patrick.. Who knows. Im probably gonna have my dad run it through electrolysis just to see what it really is. I guess thats how you spell that word.. LOL

Without handling it and seeing it up close, it may indeed be a patent wrench. It also may be part off an older harrow or horse cultivators. I have also seen the part of older patent plows that scrape dirt of the coulters that look kind of like this. If you found it in an old farm field the context might help you. I find parts like this every Spring and Fall when I plow. There were hundreds of different patents for such equipment, and it can be a real puzzle. CH Wendel has written some good books that might help you.

Not really found in a farm area, more of a woodsy area. Found actually about 15 feet from the US buckle that my boyfriend found.
