I'm appreciating the seamstress impression.

These are shot candidly with a modern camera, in full acquiescence of the subjects and others there. So curious minds want to know: do you wear period attire; keeping your cameras in a period haversack until you pull them out to shoot?, or is that not your thing, instead just a contemporary guy with cameras slung on shoulder wandering the camps? Whatever it is, it's working great.*

* whether you or an automatic function of your camera, the depth-of-field is contained such that your subjects stand out well from what otherwise would be distractingly sharp and busy backgrounds. I'm guessing either auto "portrait" mode, or manually-set smaller aperture with adequate ISO, retaining a high enough shutter speed for hand-held / stop action.

Thank you ALL for the very kind words.
byron ed, after 9 years and now on my fourth cmaera, taking over 100,000 photos I believe I am starting to figure this out.
I am a contemporary guy, and stopped using the AUTO modes years ago.....

Given the artistry of your framing, your sense of the moment and your selective eye I didn't really think you'd be deferring to auto on the mechanical side, but as you know auto has gotten quite sophisticated in the latest generation of equipment so I thought I'd check. I do see the craft in your work. Any CW ball scenes?

In the fourth photo it looks like they're carrying a chamber pot. I guess we all can't have the glamour jobs. And in the last two pics, what is that on the bottom of the guys shoes ?
