Does anyone have any info on Camp Chase Prisoner William W. Taylor 31st Tennessee infantry. He was captured at the battle of Nashville and ended up in Camp Chase

Here is the Find-A-Grave memorial page for W.W. Taylor, Co. G, 31st Tennessee - Camp Chase Cemetery grave #161 :

Found him in the official Camp Chase burial records. W. Taylor, Company G, 31st Tennessee Infantry, died May 15, 1864.

Great detective work on Taylor.
Is Camp Chase your forte'?
Thanx - My great grandfather's youngest brother, John G. Deatherage, Private of Co. B, 8th Virginia Cavalry is buried there (grave # 855). The engravers misspelled the last name and have him in the wrong company but, the compiled service records and Camp Chase registers have him pretty well identified. I spent a lot of time digging through the various enrollment & burial registers to try to understand how John got there and why he died - this led me through a lot of National Archive microfilms, the Fold3 collections of Compiled Military Service Records, and the volumes of the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies to piece together his story. ( see https://civilwartalk.com/threads/mi...-on-civil-war-gravestones.173873/post-2276458 ).

So, I have all these sources bookmarked on my laptop and finding a specific individual has become fairly easy.
