Hi Guys

I placed an online order with C&C over two weeks ago and nothing has happened. No confirmation and no transaction on my Visa. Does anyone know if they are on Holidays/closed or something else.
Regards,

Most likely they didnt get it, got lost in the vapor. Check thier hours and call them to confirm, or send them a email to confirm if you want to deal with them. Not a fan of most of the main stream sutlers.

Hi Pvt. A Wells,

Did all of the above. What are the issues with C&C. Ordered a shirt. I'm from Ireland and not up to speed with who to buy from and who to avoid. Advice most welcome.

i would put a stop payment on the credit card and send them an e mail
Definitely follow-up with an email and/or phone number. Did you get an email confirmation (maybe with order number) at the time of the transaction? You stated no confirmation, that sounds like the transaction didn't go through- you should've received at least an automated response stating something like they'd start processing your order shortly, etc.

Some online companies don't charge your card until the transaction is complete- they put a hold on it with the card issuing authority, but it's not charged to your account until they ship. Also, if you don't show a transaction you can't actually stop the transaction. Are you with Visa or Visa international? I know Visa allows 6 months to dispute a transaction, so you've got time.

In mainstream, stick with the big boys -Blockade Runner ,Fall Creek, Regimental Quartermaster

Yet, even those are hit and miss depending on what your looking for. I prefer other sources. But the above all have items that can work. Regimental Quartermaster has some items in thier Campaigner range that is affordable and really nice. Thier Cincinnati Depot Canteen has been outstanding for me. Good hot dipped tin, which holds up, and has not rusted at all. Blockade Runner has good defarbed muskets. Fall Creek, and Blockade Runner has decent uniforms, but both can be hit and miss. Of the three Fall Creek has the better shoes. I much prefer Robert Land for shoes, and or Missouri boot and Shoe for designs Robert doesnt do. I prefer my uniforms from persons like Tim Hubble, at his A Stitch In Time, facebook store. Or some of the Authenic Sutlers out there.

I suggest you do just what Wayne suggest, ASAP. What are you trying to buy, what quality are you looking for, and what is your price range for said items. Be glad to point you to some good sutlers, and services.

Shawn
Thanks to everyone for the reply's. I have sent them a couple of emails without responce so maybe they are on holidays.
In answer to your question Shawn it was a shirt I was looking for. They had up to 5XL and being on the big side was just what I needed.

If you need a custom shirt, for about 45 to 50 dollars, with hand outer stitching and button holes I recommend Georgenia Kilborn on facebook. She has made me plenty of great shirts. I have a 19 inch neck, but wear a large.

Thanks Shawn, I'll check her out.
