Bullet ID Help Please

Dug this week out of a suspected CS Cavalry camp, but I am not sure if this is ACW or a modern-ish muzzleloading deer bullet. No oxidation, just solid lead. Being flattened out I cannot tell what it is, although the rings look similar to a Sharps. The diameter seems to be .45-.50 however. This was the only bullet I have found so far.
