Ok thanks for the feedback. Im looking to have a somewhat custom commutation jacket made based on a period photograph. I see they offer a good bit of options for their commutation jackets. I am also probably going to talk to Wambaugh, White and Co. as well.
I've never dealt with Bristol personally but there was some pretty negative stuff from posters on his Facebook page and he hasn't posted anything on it in over a year. I'd stick with Wambaugh and White, terrific work and customer service. I've been a long time customer there and always happy with their work. Also if your looking for custom type stuff I'd check out Andrew Kasmar at Beauregard's Tailor on Facebook. He makes some really cool stuff.
captaindrew, thank you for this information. I will look for Beauregard's Tailor as well, though I dont have facebook (...but my wife does). Thank you again Sir.

It's a public site so you can look at it without an account, I don't have one either, I'm on my phone or I'd post a link for you, I'll do it later when I get home.

I am looking at a pair of boots from The Maryland Suttler. At 75 dollars they are sure reasonable. I send an email and he says he'll check my foot width with his size 7..I wear a 6,5 EE..so shoes are an issue for me. I do have a pair of fugawee, but i find after a day of walking I need an alternative pair..
