As usual the Rankin Rough and Ready SCV camp did a fantastic job with this years show. Even with them also hosting the Mississippi SCV State Reunion everything went off without a hitch. I had a great time and got a chance to meet several of our CWT members @alan polk @Vicksburger and @hawknknife. Here are a few photos.

Yes it does and I have to give a big shout out to those young reenactors as they helped me get the Lost Cause cannon off the trailer and my other stuff unloaded. One of them snatched up my 100lb Parrott shell and was off with before I had to tell him to put it on the cart and not carry it all the way in the hall. I told him thats why the wheel was invented. He was going to tote it all the way in the hall. Oh to be that young again and know what I know now.:cold:

Thank you for sharing, glad to see there are still some young ones interested in the ACW!

Talk about :cold: - My late collecting mentor Robert Justice liked to tell about the time he was attending a local gun show somewhere when some fool rolled in a LIVE 10" mortar or 42-pounder columbiad shell and bounced down the inner steps before the guards whisked it away from him to give to the police for proper disposal!

I read something the other day that said when you hit 40 ,you realize what you have done to your body and wish that you had taken better care of yourself. That may have been true, but what a ride it's been and I hope that it's not over yet.:bounce:But I have invested in a good set of handtrucks, so just maybe I've learned something.

Thanks ucvrelics, we had a great time and a pleasure to visit with you. Great show, 350 tables and got to meet Arizona Swords. As I was told, "I slung so much BS, cotton was growing under my table!
It was a pleasure as well. I did notice a little cotton. You have a fine son who didn't fall far from the tree. That whole Rankin Rough & Ready group is a pleasure to deal with. Those young guys couldn't do enough for me in helping get the Lost Cause cannon unloaded and reloaded. Plus I was able to see a LOT of old digger friends.

My Great Grand Father lived to be 102, at his 100 birthday party he told me "If I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself" He smoked 2 packs of unfiltered Pall Mall and had his Toddies ever day. I don't really want to live that long unless its on my terms.
