It was my first time attending the Brandon show, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of the items there. I was able to pick up a few buttons and bullets that I had been on the look out for quite some time for and will certainly return next year with a bigger wad of cash.

I also brought my seven year old along, and I wanted to personally thank Richard from @UCVRelics for taking the time to talk to my boy about the Civil War and the items he had at his table. That brief but impactful moment of kindness did not go unnoticed by me or my boy, and I thank Richard immensely for opening the door of collecting and history for my son. Not only was his table well-stocked with great items, but people like him are what makes the collecting hobby so special.

There's no doubt that Richard knows his stuff, enjoys sharing it and has a soft spot for children. I'm glad that you got to meet him and that you enjoyed the show.

Not gonna lie, I got a tear in my eye when I saw the Iron Brigade reunion ribbons. I want one of those little boot pistols too!

Thanks for sharing. I had a good time visiting with everyone.

(I had my eyes on that stand of grape, as well.)

Thanks for the kind words. I enjoyed talk with you and your son and if we don't engage our young folks the collecting of CW relics will go the way of the Dodo Bird. If @redbob had been there he would have taught your son the finer art of sword fighting.

@Championhilz and @Bradley It was great seeing yall and the new museum looks fantastic. @Bradley don't forget the book of "Unreconstructed Rebels" in the Old Courthouse museum.

I brought one of my @rebel brit to "Display Only" and if I had a dollar for every time I had to say "NOT FOR SALE" I would be a rich man.

Some of the stuff in the pictures looks familiar to me. :D

Hope you all had fun.
