Got this at a flea market. Wonder if it’s local West Kentucky, Tennessee.

You got a good one without a doubt, it appears to be a 6.4 incher.

Very Nice CS Brooke. Could you post a close up of the fuse and a photo of the base hole without the tape measure in the way? Thanks

I have a picture of the base. When I get home I’ll take a close up of where the fuse went.

That is a very big shell. I wonder how much it weighs. That is a nice flea market find, our flea market has nothing like this. A very great find.

Trying to figure out if this is from Columbus Belmont or Ft Donaldson campaign. Ft Donaldson had a Columbiad bored to 6 1/2 inches and Rifled. Here is information about it:

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/markerhunter.wordpress.com/2012/02/14/guns-of-fort-donelson/amp/

Columbus Belmont also had large cannon. Here also information:

Picture I took last Sunday of a what’s left of one of the 6.4 Rifled cannon:

I need to go to Ft Donaldson and look at their museum to see what rounds they used. Couldn’t find information at Columbus Belmont.

Did some research. Picker bought this at a yard sale for 10 bucks then sold it to flea market dealer for 40 bucks before I stumbled on it and bought it. Picker is mad at himself for not researching it more. He thought it was WW1.

My gf was like oh no he’s buying junk. She wasn’t happy until I got in the car and told her it’s a Civil War Confederate Shell. I thought it was a Read Shell when I bought it.

The last one I sold had the base plate and the complete fuse for $300 but that was 10 years ago. The key is what did you pay for it. You don't make money when you sell it, you make when you buy it.:D

I have been offered 400 for it. It’s a fare offer by a collector. I never owned one so not wanting to sell it right now.
