Yea. I read it this summer. I've been by that battlefield hundreds of times but have only ever stopped to visit twice. Once in the 4th grade and 2 weeks ago. I plan on going back too. lol

I am from Kenly. I hope to get down there very soon. Reading Bradley's book has given me a new appreciation for the battle and also much more insight.

Another memorial to the Battle of Bentonville or at least a personal one.

The artificial leg of Moses Demarce of Company A, 25th Iowa Infantry. He was wounded in the right knee at the battle necessitating the amputation of his leg.
