Aug 2, 1864 skirmish near athens ga at barber creek. I'm trying to find any information other than the basic info online. Our church buts right up to the site it's unkempt. There a a couple of markers that the information is worn off of. The teens are having a campout on the property and I thought it would be fun to teach them about the ground they are standing on. I'm just having trouble finding any real info about it. The local historic society's might as well be reading off the few sentences you can find online. If anyone could help that would be great.
