Congratulations to all our participants and co-winners. I almost screwed up the very last question about the 2 parties in the 1864 election because I thought the answer "Republican and Democratic Party" was obvious and I didn't even have to do any checking on that one. Just before I hit "enter" on my keyboard, I thought I better double check myself and I'm glad I did. National Union Party... I forgot all about that one and I have an original CDV from the 1864 Election with Lincoln and Johnson's picture beneath the "National Union Party" banner.

Congratulations to all the winners! I was gone for a week, getting smoked by forest fires (which have gotten much worse since!) while watching the solar eclipse--which was worth it.

As a previous recipient of swag, I can assure the waiting winners that the swag is well worth the wait!

I've decided to take a break from trivia. With the latest forest fire evacuation zone just a mile from my house, somehow this game seems rather unimportant at the moment. I am currently taking refuge on the Washington coast from the horrendous smoke, and will probably stay until the fall rains start. If the house goes (which seems unlikely now that the wind has shifted), it's insured!
