Hi all,
lm in the process of making a couple of Confederate Artillery Ammunition boxes and l would like to stencil one of them with a Companys/Supplier name from Texas.
l have done several searches relating to this and have come up with suppliers [ both North and South ] but l cant [ that l can see ] find anything relating to Texas.
So my question is :- Were there any suppliers of Artillery Ammunition boxes from Texas during the civil war. lf yes, what was the Company name and are there any existing photos of such boxes.
Thanks in advance, Chris.

There was a Confederate Arsenal in Marshall, Texas that made artillery shells (mainly copies of Parrot and Schenkls); however all that I have ever seen just refers to them as being from Marshall. There was also the Texas State Arsenal in San Antonio. There is also a rather detailed series of pictures of a 24# howitzer shell crate that is for sell on www.rickburtoncivilwar.com under artillery.
