Armament McLaws' Regts - Document Help needed

My bad @captaindrew You were talking about the MS rifles and the ones listed as "for cavalry service"? In the "Report of the Armament of the Regiments of McLaws' Division, 20 May, 1863"? I'm sorry, in my research, I am focused on the distribution of the Enfields and jumped to the conclusion you were talking about the short Enfields. From what I understand, the "other rifles meant for cavalry service" included arms captured and collected - including one guy in Kershaws who had captured a Spencer.

No bad, I got mixed up myself earlier. Easy to do with so many different type of weapons and different guys would call them different things, it would be very important to include each caliber in the report. Those reports are a great look into what they would have had.
