Thanks.Somehow,I get the feeling this is gonna be heavy on the Gettysburg side,not theres anything wrong with that,but combining the forums I belong to,there isnt one ince of that place I havent seen in pictures.

Yeah, poor ole Manassas gets lost in the shuffle when we focus on the "big"battles like Antietam, Gettysburg, Shiloh, Fredericksburg and the like.

I've been to every major battlefield,and G'Burg is not my favorite.It is waaay too cluttered for me.I understand that,but somehow the aura of the place,is just lost on me.Its a beautiful place,and all,but it doesnt call me on pilgrimages,like some of the other spots do.
On this same visit to Manassas,I did something I have wanted to do for years...forded the stream at Sudley Springs Ford.It was great!
Now my next trip up that way,I am gonna make arrangements to ford the Potomac at Botelers!Another thing I have wanted to do forever,and just never seemed to manage it.
