Great to see someone explaining what type of card games the soldiers would have played in their downtime in camp and teaching us to play it too. I'm afraid though that he completely lost me when explaining the scoring system. I also didn't quite understand what they were doing with that opened deck card.

The way the cards were played then and who gets the entire hand reminded me of a card game I sometimes play on my computer, called Hearts. The scoring is different though.
