Seriously, now, for a minute. When I first looked at @Gettmore 's picture for the day, I thought the blue-garbed gent was wearing a Pullman Porter's cap. Yes, I know, too early and not the type of person you'd expect. But does anyone have an idea what the crest on the front says?

By complete coincidence, I was riding on Edmonton's Light Rail Transit system today when a bunch of peace officers came aboard and politely asked to see proof of payment. Naturally, I produced mine without trouble. The homeless guy a few seats down didn't have any but he was very polite and respectful and asked for directions to the nearby hospital. The peace officers cut him some slack and gave him the directions. I thought they handled the situation professionally with both compassion and common sense.

On London's underground network the inspectors sometimes dress down. I was on the way to work one morning when this pair of "tramps" got on. Doors shut, off we go. "Revenue protection - tickets and passes please" . Now that is sneaky, And they caught about 6 in my car.
