Yeah, it makes you realize just how dangerous being a soldier of that time was. Not only are you fighting for your life, but you've also gotta deal with freezing cold temperatures. Being from Kansas, I couldn't imagine a situation like that. And going to bed like that? No thank you.

Thank God I never had to be in his situation, but many times while deer hunting in frigid conditions I thought 'What am I doing here"
