Horse Soldier

I've never bought anything but been in the shop a few times. It's like walking through a museum only you can touch the stuff and take something home if you have the $$. As far as I know he's got a good reputation, how long have you been waiting? Did you make a transaction/give money?

Purchased multiple books plus a few other items. I don't believe any transaction wasn't complete, beginning to end, over two weeks. Seems the same lady answered all my emails in all transactions (Kaitlyn?)

Does anyone know what the protocol is around asking for or otherwise inquiring about flexibility in pricing? Is it considered bad form-- or even insulting-- to ask a seller if he or she can come down in price?

Is it a given in the relics/antiques world that a potential buyer can be expected to haggle, for lack of better word, for a piece? How do you go about asking without offending a seller? I might be overthinking this, but better safe than sorry, as I see something right now I'd like. Obviously Civil War items are irreplaceable; we're not talking Temu here, or KMart blue special. Thank you

1 never had a problem and 2 just ask is that price firm? Can you drop it some? Most Dealers I dealt with will most often drop the price to make the sale.

I have TEMU ice maker that works great.
Anyway, making a counter offer is not an insult if it is what you can spend. You will probably get a counter or a loud..."SOLD!".

It's been several days now & I haven't heard back, so I don't know what's going on. I didn't even offer a figure, I just asked if there was any flexibility with the price 😕. It's several hundred + shipping. I swear, sometimes I think I'm not meant to own anything civil war- related except this diary. It's a piece of rail from Virginia. Thanks. I'll post back if I hear back.

Temu ice maker? Holy....

You want a Civil War Sword era for $600? 🙂

Well, I don't know what I'd do with a sword though. OTOH, I can't really use a train track piece except as a door stop 😄. I'm just interested in it bc my grandfather would have ridden the train over that rail, which is pretty silly when I think about it much. But I still want it. I'm sure people would like to see the sword though. Can you post some pictures? Thank you
