Does anyone know if this is a iron brigade solider.

My son was looking at this in a store in Gettysburg the price is about $175.00 is that to high or about right thank for the help .

That is a regulation Army uniform & hat and I would not base that as meaning he was a member of the Iron Brigade.

I myself have not brought any tins what's a good price if you do not mind saying and thank you

I know it's NOT an Iron Brigade soldier; want to know HOW I know? Look at the 2 "hash marks" or stripes on his sleeves above the cuffs - those are veteran's stripes awarded in the Regular Army ( only ) to denote having spent a specified amount of time in the Regular U. S. Army. The Iron Brigade was an entirely volunteer body made up of Western Federals. They were essentially new recruits and had no veterans among them. This enlisted man is therefore a career soldier and not a Civil War volunteer.
