A Good Laugh On Craigs List..

Hard to tell, but the first one looks like maybe a broken 1855 saber bayonet, and the second is a foot artillery sword. Wouldn't care to hazzard a guess as to whether either is original.

I was one. Years ago I bought a few minnie balls on ebay. My husband didn't make a peep, as usual. He's a chemist. naturally analytical ( i.e. not a sucker ) plus almost never points his finger at me and laughs. He just pulled up an article, probably written by one of you folks, all about the HUGEE percentage of ebay items which are just plain fakes. It was very nearly 99.9999 %, seriously, by the time this expert finished explaining himself. Sigh.

They LOOK like real minnie balls, and the nice man said they were real..... . Can't imagine why he'd lie to me that way! :cow: That would be me, with the brains it took that day. You folks need a 'blond' emoticon.

Hahahahaha! That's hysterical! I'm sure when the ad said 'dug artifact', that was true also, the things were dug outa there too, huh?

PT Barnum could have used me in the Side-Show tent, would have made him a fortune all over again.
