Question:
Find the 3 errors in the following text:

The War Between The States Begins

On April 10, 1861, knowing that resupplies were on their way from the North to the federal garrison at Fort Sumter in the harbor of Charleston, South Carolina, provisional Confederate forces in the city demanded the fort's surrender. The fort's commander, Major Robert Anderson, refused. On April 11 the Confederates opened fire with cannon. At 2:30 p.m. the following day, Major Anderson surrendered.

On April 15, Lincoln called for 55,000 volunteers to put down the Southern rebellion, a move that prompted Virginia, Maryland, Arkansas and North Carolina to reverse themselves and vote in favor of secession.

Bonus 1. Abraham Lincoln said it about Dan Sickles after Sickles gave permission for Generals wife's to kiss Abe. Apparently the wife of Alex Salm-Salm was very pretty. That kiss fired up Mary Todd Lincoln.

Second bonus. The artillery fired first on April 12th not the 11th.
Fort Sumnter was surrendered on April 13th, not on the 12th (day after the 11th).
Lincolns call was for 75,000 volunteers, not 55,000.
Maryland never left the union. On April 29, the Legislature voted decisively 53–13 against secession.

Sorry for my crappy answers. Been sick and in and out of hospitals. I have been going with the first possible answer that I find. Obviously that strategy isn't working!

#2
President Lincoln to General Sickles - trying to lighten up the mood after Sickles guest, Princess Salm-Salm, gave Lincoln an inappropriate kiss the prior day, much to the chagrin of Mary Lincoln. The joke worked, Mary joined the laughter, and all was forgiven.

#3 April 11 should read April 12
55,000 should read 75,000
Maryland should read Tennessee
(source - numerous)

Alamance County Confederate Monument, Graham,NC

Bonus 1: Said by Abraham Lincoln to Daniel Sickles in an effort to placate Mary Todd Lincoln who was upset that Princess Salm Salm (nee Agnes Elisabeth Winona Leclerc Joy) had kissed Abe, having been encouraged to do so by Sickles.

Bonus 2:
Change "April 11" to April12
Change "55,000 volunteers" to 75,000 volunteers
Change "Maryland" to Tennessee

The monument is the Alamance County Confederate Monument in Graham, NC

First bonus: The quote is from Abraham Lincoln to Dan Sickles after a certain Princess Salm-Salm, a guest at a party given by Sickles, kissed the President and caused Mary Lincoln (aka Mother) to fly off the handle.

3-error bonus: The demand for surrender came on April 11 not 10th; rebels opened fire on April 12 not April 11; Lincoln called for 75,000 volunteers not 55,000.

Question 1
The Alamance County Confederate Monument, located in Court Square on the north side of the Alamance County Courthouse in Graham, North Carolina. And since we are all into poetry (and enjoying it) this is inscribed on the West face: "Conquered they can never be, whose spirits and whose souls are free."

Question 2
Who Said: President Abraham Lincoln
To Whom: General Daniel Sickles
Why: To create peace after Agnes Salm-Salm was encouraged (by Sickles) to welcome the President in a rather "cheeky" way during a review of Sickle's troops earlier. All was well until Mary Lincoln heard of this incident and Mary, to say the least, was in a fit of anger at Sickles. Apparently all got a good giggle and life went on.

Question
1.
April 10, 1861 should be April 11, 1861 when CSA General Beauregard sent his aides to Fort Sumner and issued the ultimatum surrender.
2. April 11 the the Confederates opened fire with cannon should be April 12, therefore Major Anderson surrendered the next day (which is correct) but would have been the 13th at 2:30 pm.
3. President Lincoln called for 75,000 volunteers not 55,000 - the date is correct.

"To commemorate with grateful love the patriotism, valor, and devotion to duty, of the brave soldiers of Alamance County...." http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM7XNH_Alamance_County_Confederate_Monument_Graham_NC

BONUS: Abraham Lincoln said that to Dan Sickles referencing Sickles lack of piousness and Mary Lincoln's disdain for Mrs Prince Salm-Salm (Agnes) and Dan Sickles. https://books.google.com/books?id=0...WCYKHSzaBlsQ6AEIKzAB#v=onepage&q=Salm&f=false

ANOTHER BONUS:
1. The cannonade was initiated on April 12.
2. Lincoln called for 75,000 volunteers instead of 55,000
3. The list of states that reversed position should include Tennessee in place of Maryland.

-Alamance County Confederate Monument
-General Salm-Salm's wife kissed president Lincoln after obtaining permission from General Sickles. The jealous Mrs. Lincoln said that to General Sickles.
Bonus: at first I was looking for typos!
April 11 - April 12
Anderson refused to evacuate - he wanted to evacuate on his time schedule
55,000 - 75000

That Confederate Monument is a "Common Soldier" statue in Alamance County, Graham, North Carolina. The same company, McNeel Marble Co., probably made a similar monument in front of the Warren County, Virginia courthouse, and possibly in other places as well.

According to his biography, President Abraham Lincoln said those words in jest to General Daniel Sickles referring to "Mother" as Mary Todd Lincoln because General Salm-Salm's wife had previously kissed Lincoln after receiving permission from General Sickles, which made Mrs. Lincoln jealous. Source: Michael Burlingame, Abraham Lincoln: A Life, 495.

As for the Fort Sumter piece, they demanded surrender on April 11, opened fire on April 12, Major Anderson surrendered on April 13, and evacuated April 14. I've read that Lincoln called for 75,000 troops not 55,000, and Virginia, Arkansas, North Carolina, and Tennessee seceded, not Maryland.

Credit for Q.

Bonus 1-Abe Lincoln said this to General Dan Sickles because Sickles had given General Felix Salm Salms' wife permission to kiss Abe Lincoln. Other wives also kissed Abe. Mary Todd Lincoln was jealous and mad when she found all this out so Abe said this to Sickles. Lincoln said this to break the tension in the room. It worked, everyone laughed.

Abe Lincoln: A Life by Micheal Burlingame. page 495.
Another source-The Prince and the Yankee states Hooker paired Dan Sickles as the escort for the Lincoln couple knowing full well that Mary Todd didn't like Sickles.

Bonus 2-
1-Should be the rebs aked for the surrender of the fort on On Thursday, April 11, 1861. Not the 10th.
2-Rebels opened fire on the fort April 12, 1861. Not the 11th.
3-Abraham Lincoln, called for a 75,000-man militia to serve for three months following the bombardment and surrender of Fort Sumter. Not 55,000.

Answer: Alamance County Confederate Monument, Graham, NC

Bonus 1: Spoken by Abraham Lincoln to Dan Sickles, in an attempt to ease discord between Mrs. Lincoln and Sickles, after Sickles had encouraged women to kiss Lincoln.

Great questions! @Stony, @amweiner, @FarawayFriend

Bonus #2 Volunteers 75000 not 55000

Guns open fire on April 12th not April 11th

Secession State not[ Maryland] But[ Arkansas]

This one took awhile hope it is right

Edit - You are correct that Maryland did not secede. The correction would have been that Tennessee should have been included in the original list instead of Maryland (Arkansas already was included). However, the question only asked for players to find the three errors, not to correct them, so you will not lose credit for this answer.
