I am looking for primary source accounts on the 82nd USCT, originally known as the 10th Regiment of the Corps D'Afrique.
Port Hudson, Fort Barrancas - Marianna, Pollard; Fort Blakeley, Montgomery, Mobile, Appalachola, Fort Jefferson..
Served in Ullmann's and Pile's Brigade. Working on a Regimental History for my graduate thesis. Any leads are appreciated. Thanks.

You should check with the National Archives and see if they have the Regimental and Company Books for the 82nd USCT.

Also, if you plan a trip to the National Archives, it would be well worth your time to look through the pension applications of the soldiers who served in the regiment.

In addition, Fold3.com has a few of the widow's pensions for the 82nd USCT online - they only have about five, but some of them run for more than 100 pages.

Have you looked at the Record of Events for the 82nd? It's available in the supplement to the O.R., Volume 78. It goes into good detail about some of the battles they were in.

Thanks!! Very helpful. I am just getting going on this. The USCT seems to be difficult to find primary source accounts. The pension records is what I need! Do you have to physically go to DC to access?

If you have not done so already, you should also look through Newspapers.com and Chronicling America at the Library of Congress. This article was found on Newspapers.com, and is from The Evansville Daily Journal, September 24, 1866.
